a man calling himself Fred from the Home Center. Offers to have someone come out and give an estimate on house work. Wouldn't give an office location other than San Jose, Redwood City or Mountain View, but no street address or contactor license number.
I told him not to take me off the list and not to call and he wouldn't shut up. I told him I suspected his number was bogus, and called him right back. Surprise, it actually got to him. You can definitely hear a call center sweat shop in the background, tons of other callers. Told him never to call back again.
He called again about 4 minutes later. Please give this a-hole a ring and waste his time like he wasted mine.
CID: Name Not Found. Number: 650-152-3705. The prefix 152 doesn't exist (actually 1xx as a prefix where xx is any two numbers isn't a valid prefix). It doesn't exist in either of the 650 or 408 area codes. I've gotten a load of scammers with the 1xx prefix, but with the 408 area code. They must be running out of numbers and have moved over to use the 650 area code.
I always try to answer the phone on the first ring and I immediately hang up. This simulates a block call.
Got a call from this number AGAIN!!! I would like to know why we can't get the phone company or the law to do something about this CRAP.There must be a way to stop the jerks from bothering us.
