I don't answer the phone when I don't recognize a number or a name. Caller ID showed "VOIP caller". If the call was legit, a real person's or business name would appear.
The next time you get a call from someone claiming that they are from Microsoft Windows and there is a problem with your computer, tell them you have Andersen Windows ( or whatever brand windows you have in your residence). That will confuse them. I've done it in the past and they stopped calling for many months afterwards.
650 282 2091. These people call, leave no info, if you call back they want an authorization code, possibly a miss-dial or someone else is "spoofing" their number to coverup their real number.

I also had a thickly accented Indian making believe that he was from iolo, and that my computer infected, but if I opened my computer up to him, he would help me. How did this rat know that I subscribe to iolo?
This is a scam. Do not allow him access to your computer. He wants to install malware, viruses, etc. Their goal is to steal information from you, i.e. banking information.
