I just got 2 calls, why can't they just leave people alone, sounds like a fax coming in when I answer, and can't get through when u call back, had a problem with another number as well, so be careful they get ur number and sell it to people and u end up with a 2,000 bill....
I think this is Stanford's fundraising arm dialing alumni for dollars. You know, where they hire co-eds with cute voices to call the male graduates to tell them how much their donations will mean to the students?
Feh, Stanford already has an enormous endowment. I save my charitable giving for institutions that actually need the money.
This is a general outgoing trunk line from Stanford; you can't call this number back expecting to get the caller. As mentioned by Eric and others, it is not specific to the medical school or to development (fundraising).
I think Rumsfeld is a legitimate objection. Condi Rice is also at Stanford. You may not think they're war criminals, but I guarantee they won't be taking any European vacations anytime soon. The Europeans are not so cavalier about what they did.
