I received a similar call and was unable to answer I called back after listening to the lady on the voicemail. She then states I had to wait for Eric to get back and I said I was working so I couldn't answer. Yes I have got a payday loan but it was already paid off.
This man called from 650-425-1035 and 415-994-0000 to both my job and cell. He claimed there was a lawsuit and I needed to call back immediately because there was a lawsuit in CA? I've never been to CA, wouldn't someone sue you in the state you live in?
I also received the same call. In his message he states that I could end of "behind the bars". At the end of the message they state "God Bless You". What debt collector or attorney is going to say that. I wished someone would catch these frauds. More than happy to work out paying old debts if I owe them but I am always confused if it is fraud or for real. I now just tell them to send me a debt validation letter and that is all I will listen to. If they can't send that then there is no sense in me talking to them.
I received the exact same call and I find it disgusting as I am in the military. I have not completed any online applications. I will be reporting these people through all military channels and local news as well as local police dept.
I just recieved the same call from a man. He said he represented US Cash Advance. I did fill out an online application. But, I never got any money from them. He said there was a lawsuit out in my name. And the police will be coming for me, and I will be locked up. And that I would have to go to California for court. He would not let me talk. And when I call back to get the name of the Law firm, he would not give me the name. Who can we report this to?
I received a call from Adan Gomes who states he is a lawyer that is represtenting some cash advance company that could not give me dates or times when this occurred. He wouldn't let me talk and wouldn't answer any of my questions. He said that he would be filing my case in court and it would cost me over $9000 for my fees. He gave me my entire SSN, address, and Bank information. I contacted the FBI and called him back and told them I would be sending their information to them. The address 565 Summit Ave, Jersy City, NJ 07306 is indeed a day care, but there was a legal office there from before. I talked to the real estate agent who is listing the office who confirmed this. Also the number with the area code 650 is in South Dakota, not Jersey City, NJ.
