I live in the 650 area so getting a call from a number I don't recognize isn't uncommon. Never pick up unknown calls from NV, FL, etc. The caller said he was with "... Energy ..." - I think he slurred the name on purpose, although I have to say English wasn't his first language so maybe it wasn't intentional. Other people commenting here have heard various names but the common thread is always "energy". I interrupted him before he got very far and said, "Shut up! This phone is on the don't call list ..." He said, "I'm not trying to sell you anything or soliciting anything. I'm just telling you that you may be eligible for a rebate on solar panels …”. Told him to take my number off their list and hung up. Reported it to the Do Not Call Registry – for all the good that seems to do ….
Did not recognize number. Did not pick up but nothing said on answer machine. We are on Do Not Call Registry. Immediately went to their web site to report this call. Everyone needs to report these calls if they are on Do Not Call Registry.
