I got the same missed call, caller left no message either... other internet site says that it could be H&R Block, but in my mind they would have left a message.
I just got the same text stating that there was a tax refund debit-card issue and to call 650-526-5571. The email was [email protected]. I was going to call back, but after researching the number and seeing your post now I won't even bother.

I got a text from this number. My mom and dad did as well. They all said basically the same thing all the comments have stated. I called the number and tried numerous times to get connected to an operator. At least 6 times I entered bogus numbers like 111111111111111 or 0000000000000000. I also tried entering nothing at all. Seems to me if this were a reputable company I would have been connected to an operator. I have no proof but my gut feeling is a scam. Gonna try emailing my local news station and see if they investigate. I'd love to see how this plays out.
We got one as well...figured it was a scam...we didnt use our debit card for anything we filed on..these people need to be caught...It a shame someone will loose money to them....probably eldery that doesnt know any better
