Had one of these calls from this number. I was not home so answering machine would answer. No message but caller id said Palo Alto CA. Figure it is a scam of some sort. I have been getting a lot of this lately.
Caller from Palo Alto, CA. Caller ID V311819315300037. That's a dead give away. It's Rachel and her friends from Card Services. Caller ID is always spoofed to show a V followed by a bunch of digits.
Got a call from 650 618 9761 today. When I answered it , there was no response, so I hung up. Several minutes the number call again. Caller ID says Palo Alto , Ca. Lots of backgroung noise, but very clear and dominating male voice announced that He was asking for donations, to help deliver care packages to disabled Vets and wounded Vets either in Hospitals or after discharges. When I began to ask questions about how much of each dollar collected actually finds it way into the hands of people that need help, I could not get a straight answer. He responded with a well presented script, that never addressed my question, but again what they were doing to hep vets. I asked if this was a real person I was talking to because it seemed like a chess game over the phone. He said he was a trainee and his voice was going through a computer. Anyway, I said that we had such a bad connection I was going to hang up.
also got a call about veteran services from this number.i just hung up because it seemed weird that i would be getting called for donations from a landline instead of a office line.
Also got 2 calls today from this number- #1 hung up a few mins. later another one same thing. this has got old with all these calls since I am signed up for do not call both on landline & cell. So glad the gov. is NOT doing a thing about it. I do not answer any calls from now on if I don't know the caller number.
