I get the exact same thing! I picked up once before it got to my answering machine, and it still said the same thing. If they're having technical difficulties and can't tell me why they're calling, why do they call in the first place??
Caller ID reads: SBC MESSAGING 650-878-2159
A computerized voice saying, "Due to a technical difficulty on our end we are unable to speak with you."
Who are this people anyway.
Same thing as everyone else (dumb message). Isn't there a keypad (#3 I think) that you can press repeatedly when you pick up and it signals the other end that your number is disconnected?
Older male wanting donations for returning injured vets. He refused to tell me where he was calling from or the name of the organization. He said he would send a receipt for the tax deductable donation. I told him I don't trust phone solicitors with such scanty info. He got angry & hung up. I figured he is a scammer!
