I am getting tired of these calls. They call to sell their carpet cleaning service. I asked several times to be removed. They call twice as much since then.
-I got an unsolicited call from 847645486 on my cell phone on 5/5/09 at 12:33pm. I answered because the first 3 digits 847 are my area code. The recorded message introduces Dan who cleans carpets. At the end of the recording, it says "Press 1 to schedule an appointment. Press 8 to be removed." I pressed 8, but immediately wished I had hung up instead. At that point, I noticed that the caller ID only showed 9 digits instead of 10. Refer to http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/847645486 for comments from others who received calls.
-I googled 'dan carpet cleaner' and found similar comments from 2007 concerning a different phone number. Refer to http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-650-898-0321
-If your phone number is on the U.S. Do Not Call list, then you should post a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx. I just did. If enough people post complaints, perhaps the FTC will investigate.

These folks are related to the mortgage spam and 'Obama' spam calls being placed by dialers which are illegal to cell phones which are also illegal. Only a matter of time before these folks are arrested and charged criminally. They probably think this is a civil matter and they will pay a fine. I think they will go to jail based on what I have heard.
