Got 2 calls this morning. Very fishy -- blocking -- probable IRS or other scam. I declined the first call, and it left a voicemail of a recorded female american in mid-sentence with a case number and saying to call their department back immediately, then repeated the phone number twice. The urgency implied by "immediately" does not match the lack of urgency of a recorded call, and there was no department name. I ignored the 2nd call, and no message that time.
Recorded message says, among other things, "IRS is filing lawsuit against you." This isn't how the IRS operates. The IRS initially sends notices through the mail. While I'm typing this I'm already getting a second call from this number. Time to block it.
