This # rang our landline at about 9:20 AM today. I had just hung up a call with a friend, so I picked up. I got the same old cheerful "Hi! This is Todd from the fulfillment department!" I hung up. I forget what Todd (or Jim or Steve) is scamming - might be the back brace - didn't listen long enough to find out. About 2 hours later, we got another call from 651-297-5219. No message left. I do not find it coincidental that the "651-297" area code and exchange matches ours. These bottom dwellers are better at it than Rachel and Carmen of "lower your interest rates" because they manage to cause the call to ring as local which the interest rate scammers have not been able to do. May be the same a**holes for all I know. Just want everyone to know that, if the caller ID claims to be local - both of these said "Twin Cities, MN" - and the number mimics your area code and exchange, it's the roboscammers from the outback of India, up to same old tricks with updated fakery.
BTW, a**holes: Twin Cities, MN is not a place. It is two separate cities - one named Saint Paul and one named Minneapolis. Real phone numbers are in one city or the other. All 651 area codes are in Saint Paul or one of its suburbs. So, if you're going to fake it, fake it right. Kind of like those misspelled emails from Nigeria....
