CallerID shows SSI.  Received call from this number, no message left.

called it said SSI   no one on phone when I answered

This is a survey company (Survey Sampling, Inc)  that does contract market research or opinion polls. They operate a number of call centers with different outgoing numbers. Unfortunately since they are not selling anything they do not have to check against the DNC list before calling. They are required to maintain their own DNC list and place numbers on it when requested.

Unfortunately again, the current laws require opt-out instead of opt-in for these type of calls.

Caller identified herself as calling from Survey Sampling.  She wanted to speak to the owner regarding a healthcare quality survey.

I have gotten calls from this survey co. on my cell phone.  I'm on the do-not-call list, but apparently that doesn't make a difference
