I signed up for the Do Not Call registry and did not get any calls on my cell phone for about 3mos. This was one of the numbers that recently started calling me. I answered but got no reply.
Got 4 calls in rapid order from this number. When I called it back, it said was the automated removal service and by entering my 10 digit number I could be removed from their database. I hung up after a few choice words in case they were recording it!!!
I have no idea how they cat my cell phone number. Just ignore it and try to block the caller. If I don't recognize the area code is it most likely someone or a business I don't want to talk to anyway. I called the number and entered the number to have it be removed from their list of calling me. Hopefully that works.
