Just received call from this number. Asking for donation for police. I believe it was a scam as caller kept trying to get us to donate after we told him we couldn't. Had to hang up on him, he wouldn't take no for an answer. I consider this high pressure tactics and therefore can't believe it's a legit call.
Boli1850, it might not be a scam. Back when I used to answer the phone, I used to get these calls asking for donations to the police frequently. They're super aggressive, won't take no for an answer, try to make you feel guilty. They might be calling on behalf of the Police Officers Association, Police Athletic Association and actually be legitimate, but won't accept your assertions that you're unemployed or strapped for cash. My police officer cousin told me not to submit to their guilt trips and donate to the Cancer Society or whomever you're comfortable with.
A call from this Anaheim landline arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This behavior is typical of robocallers (i.e. illegal telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls to unsuspecting victims. The comments of previous posters suggest this may be a scam charity, so beware!
Called again today and left no message. They hung up when voicemail came on. Will use one of my precious blocks on them. Ooma you need to add more blocks so your customers don't run out with all the spam that gets through.
