i posted a listing on craigslist for an electronic item and a person from this number contacted me and wanted to buy it
(without looking at the item i might add) said he'd send me a check then arrange to pick up the item.
a few days later i received a check for $1950 was told to deduct my payment which was $350 then wire the rest back to.
this is obviously a scam nd the return address on the check sent was in Illinois and this area code is
in cali?? (im from Texas) do not fall for this crap!! you could face heavy time in prison for even cashing a check like this!!

Same number just sent me a text message wanting to buy the item I listed on craigslist for $1600. Glad I did some research first. How can we shut this scammer down?
