Mid February of 2014 - Rec'd Text from 657-210-1389 - this area code is an overlay for the 714 Area Code located in Anaheim / Fullerton / Santa Ana Area of Orange County in Southern California - Individual was inquiring about an "item" on Craigslist. Without seeing it, offered $50 more to hold it stating he/she was on a business trip and wouldn't want to lose it. They then requested demographic and personal information so he/she could process a check. The message wording sent was very similar to Craigslist Scammer Language commonly seen in lots of scammer e-mails and text messages. Strongly suggest ignoring any communication from this person.
