I received a call from 888-237-5141 threatening that they are with Legal Support Services and that they have a summons for me and that I need to return their call and if I don't within 24 hours, they will assume the address and employer verified and the documents will be issued." The girl that called left her name which was Lilly Hendrix. Total SCAM artist, and I am reporting them to the BBB, the FBI, and ConsumerFTC. gov.
Received a call from this caller this morning. I do not answer calls from phone numbers I do not recognize or say "Unknown" or "Blocked." They fed me the same "Legal Support Services" stuff in my voice mail about a summons but I deleted the message before listening to all of it. Then my brother sent me a text saying that my sister-in-law (his wife) has been trying to get a hold of me. This sleazy company found my brother's contact information and called his wife to come at me, and she thought I was in real trouble, and frantically tried to contact me. I looked up but found no match to the case number they gave and I found the phone number on this website.
This company is intimidating others by fronting themselves as a legal agency in order to collect a debt. Word to the wise, judicial constables are the only people legally authorized by the courts to deliver a court summons. They can show up at your house with no prior warning or notification on any day of the week. An out-of-state firm, like this company, has no authority to summons anyone, which means that it is not a legitimate story.
Just received a call from this number 657-214-5889/ saying the same thing about a case number and needing to serve me papers. Since when do the courts warn you about getting served? It's a scam! I went online and saw this website amongst others.
My mother told me the same story. Rec'd msg about a summons beinng served if she didn't the call within 24 hrs and a \the case#29-00443. She, herself knew that she did not ,in any way, owe a debt personally but has rec'd collection calls over the years, for her ex son-in-law so she call and gentleman (if he coud be called that) started in on her pretty fast and hard, trying to confuse her but we have spoken mmany times aboout scams and scammers so she told point blank that she would have her daughter (myself) ,call him back and that I would represent her this matter. Well, needless to say, I was not a happy camper annd I did call him today requestiing the name of the company with all the business information ie:address, main phone numbers (not direct extensions), tax ID etc. Also, wanted the name and location of the of the supposed " US MARSHALL" that left the msg. (by the way, Carla was is anwser) He was trying to be a tough assh*le by telling me that I have no idea what I'm talking about, that I was really Mrs. ex-brother-in-law & we were scammers and dead beats among other names I won't mention! His last remark was "this is the sound of me hanging up" which he did but I continued to call him back, asking each time for some kind of information until he no longer would anwser the phone.
When I got home this evening, I search the number and discovered this site, among nummerous red flags. SURPRISE-not. But I feel bad for the people (I'm sure they prey on the elderly) that will fall for this scam. It''s all a numbers game!
SHAME ON THEM
Told me they were a law firm and was told several attempts to serve papers to me were unsuccessful. Told them to serve the papers, send me proof of the debt and to stop calling me and others. They actually called relatives looking for me and I've been at same address for over 20 years.
These scum bags buy old debts for pennies on the dollar - most of these debts they buy are already past the statute of limitations.
Check your state statute of limitation laws and any debts older than those time limits are stale, or uncollectable.
