I'm supposedly meeting them at a local super market to sell them my old phone, after the weird verification code came through. Worst case scenario, I waste 20 minutes.
Someone texted me in response to a Craigslist ad I had for a phone case. They thought I was selling a phone but I said it was just the case. They then said they wanted to buy it. I asked them to meet me at my usual spot that has a ton of cameras in 15 minutes. They texted back stating that they didn't want to get scammed and asked for the original ad. I sent it. Then they replied back in a text stating that I was going to get a code from craigslist that I was to confirm it back to them. THAT is obviously not normal. So, I asked them to call me back and they never contacted me again. DO NOT TEXT the code if you do get it. I use a Google Phone number, so most scams don't get very far and it filters out the losers before they get to me. I strongly suggest getting one. Google numbers are totally free. I think the person behind it is up to something very illegal.
I GOT A TEXT FROM THIS NUMBER ABOUT SOMETHING I POSTED ON CRAIGSLIST, AND THEY WANTED ME TO TEXT THEM A CODE THAT WILL MAKE SURE IT IS NOT A SCAM, ANOTHER NUMBER TEXTED ME THE CODE AND I DID TEXT IT TO THAT NUMBER 657-217-0931
IS THAT WRONG, HOW CAN FIX IT
