Don't kid yourself. DNC doesn't bother with scammers. There's nothing they can do because they use technology to change the caller ID so the number you gave them was probably bogus. FTC only fines the LEGITIMATE companies who violate the DNC. This is a scammer phishing for your credit card information.
Just got a call from this number and similar story. Missed the call, no voicemail. We have cars that drive themselves but can't get robo calls to stop :(
OMG. You're right. I thought it was a real person. And when I picked up I thought, okay, this guy has a tough gig. I'll go ahead and listen. I normally don't. And then when he didn't pick up on what I said, he got snippity. I took me a minute to realize it was a recording. When I said I had two time shares already, it interrupted and said unfortunately, you are not eligible for our....And then I hung up. Block. Serves me right for picking up. Dumb dumb dumb.
