I figure it must have to do with Medicare or other insurance being I am 65 and my husband will turn 65 in Sept. So tired of all these annoying calls. I just keep blocking them.
Definitely a scam call. Here's why:
I am turning 65 in 2016 and I have received many calls, which I don't answer until I research the number then block it, from Medicare plans and agents. I also have a business with a business number and no reference at all to my home telephone number.
I received a call from "B2B Support" (657-271-1056) on my HOME phone. Why would a B2B (Business 2 Business) entity call my home phone, which is not referred to at all with my business. Of course I did not answer it and no message was left. I then ran the number in Google (finding this page) but also ran it though a current reverse directory. The reverse directory showed the number's owner as "MEDICAREPLUS". * * * * R E D F L A G * * * *
It seems like they try to entice seniors with a Caller ID indicating some type of support (I originally figured it would be a Microsoft scam call) that might get answered but in actuality it is a Medicare solicitation call.
I agree Bebop. My husband too is turning 65 and we have been bombed with snail mail spam and weird phone calls wanting to sell us supplementary insurance. Very annoying. I have received this call several times. Caller ID says Midway City CA. I live in Nebraska.
I have recently started receiving nonstop calls from Medicare scammers. However, I am only 29 years old.. How do I get off this list?! I am on the Do Not Call Registry and do not understand why these scammers are exempt from complying.
