This is in regards to 2 different telephone numbers with the same type of call. The (Female) voice message was..."Case file. Please call immediately on our department number 786-732-5198. I repeat 786-732-5198 thank you." Ten minutes short of being 2 hours later, I received a call just like this with a different telephone number..."Case file. Please call immediately on our department number 657-387-1461. I repeat 657-387-1461 thank you."
I just called the number (while blocking my cell number using *67 before their telephone number) and of course, it said..."The number you dialed is not a working number. Please check the number and dial again." However, I just called the second number and someone picked up the phone, mumbled something as he was picking it up and then when I didn't say anything, he stayed on there a couple seconds and then hung up. The second time I called, someone picked up the phone, did not say a word and just sighed into the phone. In the background I heard a male voice with a foreign accent telling someone they owed over 7 thousand dollars and he wanted to know how they wanted to handle that. I called (the second number) two more times and they picked up the phone and hung up right away and then picked up and said (with a foreign accent), "Why are you calling me?"
THIS IS A SCAM. This number called several times, claiming that the IRS was filing a law suit against me, and advising me to call back as soon as possible.
