I received a call from this people today who had also somehow called my ex husband first. They threatened that if I didnt pay them $700 today to settle a debt that they would go to the DA and file charges. She said people like me who have past due account just use the government for money and to pay their bills and also that I have no right having children when I owe them money. They humiliated me and yelled at me in the worst manner possible and made me feel like the dirt of the earth. They would not tell me the name of their company and then hung up on me. I called the original lender who said that they do not work with that company as a debt collector nor do they sell to any other companies besides one which I ended up getting the name and number for. I do not know what these people are after but they even tried to verify the last 4 of my ssn. I have no idea who these people are but they are cruel and very nasty. They threatened to go to the DA and I may get jail time, all for a debt that I was unaware of. Anyways, be aware, do not give them your debit card info or social. I am going to see what I can do about this severely harrassing phone call. They also mocked me when I spoke in a "valley girl" sort of way as if it were a funny joke to them to try to ruin someones day. Just please be aware.
PS...they also told me to call the company that sold them the account and have fun spending 3 hours while they search the archives for the companies name. I called Wells Fargo and it took 5 minutes. These people are sharks!
