Wow! I got the same call from the same number and it also came back to Ryan Keele. He said he bought my stuff from a kid at a truck stop for $600 and before ending the call he said "I wish you the best" and hung up on me. The Police went out to his last known locations but he didnt live there anymore. I wonder if this is someone whos just bored and trolls victims on CL or if its a cover up to throw us off from the real person who has our stuff? He also mentioned my CL add and I wondered how he found it. Now his number is disconected. Im sure if we all put our heads together we can figure this out.. This is getting really weired. Did anyone else lose their stuff in CA?
On Nov 7, 2014, I posted on Craigslist that I lost my iPhone 6 on the Washington DC Silver Line Metro train. On Nov 14, I got a phone call from this number. It was hard to understand the caller but he claimed that he had purchased my iPhone 6 for $75. While the caller's phone number origin is Sedalia, MO, he claimed he was in Illinois. I was dumb enough to provide him with the MEID of my device but I kept asking him to return my phone to me, assuming he really had it. He then ended the call and stated that he couldn't do anything about it. A subsequent call to the Sedalia, MO police department revealed that there were similar 'scams' concerning lost iPhone Craigslist postings originating from an area code 660 phone number.
I got a call from this number saying he had purchased a pair of outdrives that were stolen from us. The caller id came up ryan keele. Said he was in illinoise. I had an add requesting info on the stolen outdrives.
