I did not 'make up' a show that is on a national channel. Its available On Demand and on Netflix. Look it up. I did not say THIS call was what that show was about; I used it as an EXAMPLE of what these scammers are all about. I can promise you this is NOT **LEGITIMATE** medical insurance, nor any OTHER *legit* business, because if it were, they could be and WOULD be FINED for cold call telemarketing. It is a SCAM. It doesn't matter WHAT KIND of scam, the purpose is always to separate gullible, stupid, ignorant half-wits like you from their money - and into the pockets of usually already RICH - and getting RICHER - white collar THIEVES, like the ones profiled in the show "American Greed." Note the title, "AMERICAN Greed"? That means it was AMERICANS ripping OTHER AMERICANS off. WHO do you think is hiring/controlling the overseas robocall centers? WHAT about that is SO hard for you to understand?
Just because I mentioned Republican THIEVES, you got your panties in a bunch? Yeah, there are THIEVES who are Democrats, as well. The point is to support the thieves that pick the pockets of that group of which you are NOT a member more than your own group. I'm assuming you are NOT a millionaire....based on your astute powers of reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.

Using Star69 (*69) will NOT alert the party who called you that you are trying to find out their number. It has NO BEARING on the call or the caller. If you do not have Caller ID Display, then this (*69) is a tool to identify the number that called you, which you can use to report to the DNC, if your number is registered with them. Only when the DNC reaches a certain threshold (likely in the thousands, or perhaps one million or more) of complaints about an individual number/entity can/will they open a file for enforcement. The more individual complaints, the sooner they will be on the tails of the crooks. Identifying and/or reporting these calls will NOT open you up to more calls or 'harassment.' There is satisfaction in contributing to helping get the bad guys shut down. I encourage you to file an official complaint about each and every unwanted/violating call.
This number called us again tonight. At least the fifth or sixth call from them in several months. Caller ID just said "MISSOURI" and the number.
