Same thing here. I have gotten calls at home. They come in spurts, every couple months for a few days then stop for awhile and come back with a different number. This time they left a message on my work number. I can block it at home, but not at work. Needs to be a better way to stop it. I've reported it to the Better Business Bureau, the state Attorney General's office and will use the link in these posts to report to the FTC as well. It's definitely a scam, but I don't want these messages left on my work phone and possibly jeopardizing my job.
guy called. foreigner, told me if i did not pay 8000 on a back loan i would be taken to jail on the spot.
i immediately googled the phone number and the name of a man i had talked to for two days on the phone was the scammer.
They are calling and saying this is a very important matter that needs to be resolved, they speak in a very thick Indian Accent. They are debt collectors that have recieved your debt from a third party collection agency, they are bottom feeders that will harass you and threaten to take you to jail blah, blah, blah. please hang up on these people.
Got a call from a guy that left me a very rude voicemail saying they were going to arrest me and I needed to call him back or have my attorney call him!! Really people do you think we are stupid!! Get a real job and quit trying to steal off of people especially a single woman with a child!!
Received a call from this number threatening to arrest me the following morning at my work place. I called back to find out what company they are calling from and just said to not call them again and that to ask the police when I get arrested the following morning and also to get my lawyer to call them back. I have filed bankruptcy already and this type of call should not take place anymore. These guys are very low. And yes, it's hard to understand their accent.
