Another solar pitch. Spoof caller ID. You can hear the boiler room noise in the back-round when the solicitor finally picks up after you answer. Our phone is unlisted, we have call blocking, privacy mgr, DNC list, yet we continue to receive these insidious calls. They have our name which is really annoying. Caller ID says "California Call". This solicitor claimed he was from the Council on Renewable Energy. They don't exist. There is an American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORN). Not the same organization. Starts out with a pitch about the impending skyrocketing energy prices, then the jackhole had the nerve to ask if our credit was in good standing so we can qualify for gov't funded energy. I asked if he was selling solar panels. After a feeble attempt to skirt the question, I repeated the questioning, and finally he said yes, blah blah blah. Click. Go away.
no message left. i tried to call it back. not a good number. probably a solar seller, i get at least 10 solar calls a week. so tired of them, i do put every single number on the gov. report list. it actually does stop them after a week or so. then i just get new numbers to report
