This is my first call from this number but all of the calls I receive from area code "661" are from solar telemarketers or from police charity scams. They seem to come from the same telemarketer call center and if you answer the phone, they direct you to a live person. They don't leave a message and keep changing the phone number but they keep using the same "661" area code. There is a large telemarketing call center in Bakersfield, Ca.
I get calls from this number several times a day almost every day. Usually, there is no one on the other end of the line. Once, when I did speak to someone, I told them not to call me anymore. But I still get calls all the time.
