On 3/28/13 at 10:20 and 10:36 AM I received calls from the 661-385-9748 (a new "bad" phone number) Previously I have received multiple calls (as much as 3 in a row) from 661-480-1141. When I checked on that one by reverse number it stated it was coming from Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave, CA but you could not return the call and no one answered if I answered their call. The last time I received a call from the 661-480-1141 number I answered "Sheriff's Dept." and haven't received any calls from that number since then. Now this new plague!!!
Whoever calls from this number must be bored and lonely. They call frequently and the coward can't even leave a message or answer when you pick up. I'm thinking this loser has a very sad & miserable life with nothing better to do with their time. Sad. isn't it. Poor lonely, bored thing.
Caller was "selling solar enery panels", when I said I was not interested, caller was VERY rude. Said he had many options, I should not hang up, when I told him I was not interested and I could not make changes to my house, he became irate and told me "I will keep calling you"!!!! He used a threatening tone. VERY rude!!!!
Call showed as Edwards CA and when answered the guy started his sales pitch about energy savings... I hung as I/We have discovered that the Do Not Call Registry is a failure. Added to the Ooma blacklist.
I received a call from 661-385-9748 from Edwards AFB, Ca. They hung up and didn't leave a message. I called the operator on base to verify if that number was to an office or an organization on base. According to the operator that number is not assigned to that base. Beware, it's a hoax. Also, Edwards phone numbers start with 661 - 277-XXXX. If you don't see that then it's not Edwards AFB.
