I have been receiving calls from 206-420-6473 every day. The caller left a recorded message. The message starts in the middle. It asked me to call 661-426-2080 to get more information about some file.
The number 661-426-2080 is from Bakersfield, California. It is just a scam so you can report them or ignore them, either way. Claiming they are the IRS is just nonsense. I been receiving calls from them for 6 months and no lawsuit yet. lol Always leave the same message on my answering machine.
Called cell phone (very few people have this number; I rarely provide it to anyone) at 5:17 pm today and left a truncated message about getting more information about a case file. If they identified themselves as IRS, that part was cut off before VM engaged and I didn't hear it. VM ID says Bakersfield:Main DA, CA but caller ID says +66 14262080 Thailand. Of course I'm not going to call back. That only serves to verify you have a working cell number and gets you on other scam lists. I will use this wonderful iPhone feature and block the number so it goes directly to VM without my even hearing the call come in. I'm thinking I have more of these scam calls blocked than I have legitimate contacts at this point. Worthless pieces of humanity.
Called my cell phone twice claiming to be the IRS, said they've been "trying to reach me." And that they are filing a lawsuit against me. IRS doesn't do that people... Not even calling back.
I just got this same call!!! They told me there was an IRS audit from 2009-2012 and I filed incorrectly. I now owe them $4325.00 today or go to jail. They told me that they are seizing my bank account and property today so sit back and wait for the cops to be at my house within 45 mins. He gave me the name of John Williams (middle eastern voice on the other end). He also gave me a badge number of 1815632. Then he hung up on me.
For a call saying this my final notice and the IRS will be filling a law suit vs me and gave me a number to call it is a spoof phone number beware this a scam this is not the IRS don't get scared don't call back the number call the cops or your local police and they tell u it is a scam. I got a call 2 times and talk to this guy guy from a diifent country telling me I was going to jail and a warrant was out for my arrest he had this whole fake scam they are looking for older people that will be afraid and they will be it thinking it is the real IRS . It is a shame how many diffent scams call the phone every day
