the person calls at the same time everyday. they call my work and ask for me personally. some days when i tell them they are calling a business they get mad and say no this is not a business, you listen. i need you to do me a favor...i want to send you some money. i have told them to take me off of their list several times, but apparently they have not.....whoever they are.
The Do Not Call list makes no difference. I am getting more calls on my cell phone lately from all kinds of area codes. I do not answer them. Today I got this one from 661-431-0341? I do not want them to call me!!!!!!!
They claim to be from American Compensation, but the guy is obviously not from America, I could barely understand him. He asked if I had ever taken birth control pills. I have asked them to take me off their list but they say. No wait, I wan't to get you money.
These guys obviously are foreigners (possibly from India or Pakistan). They are calling from many spoofed numbers in an effort to make the gullible among us fall for their scheme. I do not know if they are trying to steal people's identities or if they're trying to get you to send them 'a little something' before the 'big cash payout' from their supposed class-action lawsuits.
If you do answer, tell them nothing. Hang up. Report them immediately to www.donotcall.gov. Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM or block the number if your phone has that capability. Speaking to these idiotic crooks and asking them to stop calling is fruitless and frustrating.
