Called several times but never leaves a msg. Caller ID shows JGI. Called number back and got answer machine stating that I had reached 'Donor Services on Behalf of Jane Goodall Institute'.
What they don't realize is that the more times these non-profits call, the least likely we are to donate to them, ever. I respect the Jane Goodall Institute but am sick of jumping up to get the phone only to see it's JGI, (or Telefund/Sierra Club, Unavailable/SW Indians) another request for money call. We give what we can and these intrusive calls will not make us give any more often.
In checking on the Jane Goodall Institute I note they have completely different numbers than the "661" which keeps appearing under "JGI"; I'm wondering if the JGI is a scam.
I have donated to this organization for many years. They have been calling my number constantly which is very annoying. I don't appreciate this type of contact since I'm already receiving e-mails and mail from them.
This is the telemarketing division of the Jane Goodall Institute. I called the JGI foundation and complained about this. They said they would remove my number from the list, but I just got another call from them. I hope this goes into effect soon. This is very poor public relations on their part.
