Scam call from Senior Alert Care Company. They offered "$3000 in grocery coupons, and a Life Alert System". While talking to the representative on the line, I did an online search for "Senior Alert Care Company", and found many hits identifying them as a scam. I told the representative of this, and the phone call was quickly over.
Annoying call that says it is a senior alert. Probably selling insurance. I picked up and told them not to call me any more. I am on the do not call list. This is harassment by telephone.
There is no company, there are no services, there is no groceries or free give away or any assistance. It is all a scam to steal identities and mostly credit cards. That's it, just theft.
Scammers are criminals and criminals do not care about the do not call list. You will receive many, many, MANY, more calls. All from out of area calls or unknown callers, everyone of the calls will be automated which is completely illegal. You will receive many many more calls from different numbers almost daily.
Don't bother blocking, don't bother answering and don't bother asking to be taking off the list. They are criminals, they don't care. Their only mission is to doop the unsuspecting and gullible out of their hard earned money.
Warn others, this scam persist because it is effective. Telemarketing scams are on the rise, they are the new email spam. Let others know that if it is automated or suspicious ignore and report.
Good advice! And for those interested in learning more about the medic alert for seniors scam there is an article in the July-August issue of the AARP Bulletin that warns of, and explains it.
Just got a call from this number a little before 6 PM on a Saturday. Didn't recognize number, so, as usual, I did not pick up. Caller ID was "Senior Alert."
