Called number back and it said "if you want to be taken off our special promotions list press 1. Did not know I wanted to be ON their list as I am on the DNC list for years. Only called back because of no listing of the number on Google.
Caller ID - "CTY" leaves lengthy message about free coupons for $3000 of groceries plus I also qualify for a free medical alert system. It's the system that's the scam (though I have no idea what cost might be associated with the coupons).
For the "free" alert system, you have to sign up for the monitoring service at a cost of several hundred to a couple of thousand bucks a year.
They prey on older citizens and, if a few of the scammers were flayed alive in public, it might slow down these annoying calls.
