If this was a legitimate number it would be from an unincorporated area 10 miles south of Bakersfield, CA called Greenfield. However, I received two calls within 3 hours, both of which I missed, and no voice mails. Because of the abundance of (lately) Solar Scam calls I have received, I called this number back from an outgoing trunk line and, of course, got the "This number has been disconnected...". This is not the first time for this type of profile and when I Google the numbers they always come back as some Solar sales call/scam. In fact, I've had 1 Portfolio something call and 5 Solar sales/scam calls within the last 4 hours.
I've been inundated with calls from the Solar industry, and of course, my free trip to the Bahamas, then there's some collection agency called Portfolio something who's looking for a guy I've never heard of, and last, but not least, it's time for the Indian guy (some times it's a black woman) to call and threaten to send the Sheriffs to my front door to arrest me on the spot if I don't pay some phantom bill, or the best yet, some guy calls and says that there will be a process server coming to my front door if I don't pay said phantom bill.
Because some of these numbers look so legitimate, I have at times answered the call, particularly if I am waiting on a business call to come in, so I have had to resort to Call Forwarding my home phone to my cell phone where I can load these numbers, once discovered, into a contact file named "Annoy (name/type)" and mark that file to "Send all calls to voicemail". This is a lovely feature. That way I have a record of the calls and if anything ever comes of the complaints I've filed with the FCC then I have something to give them.
People on here say, "I'm on the Do Not Call List" but every type of disruptive call I've listed is illegal. Do they really think these crooks give a rats a$$ about respecting some government list? Come on now.
It's for Solar. I told them I'm not interested and hung up. They called back immediately and tried to tell me they're not trying to sell me anything, they just want to give me an energy assesment. Yea, right.
