Maryland does have a charity search website see http://sos.maryland.gov/Charity/Pages/SearchCharity.aspx Search for FOP Fraternal Order of Police turns up 1 current FOP that uses a fundraiser. They pulled in 5.5 million last report and only donated 8%!. They're so deceptive that they only give a lawyers address and Maryland says they're compliant with the Maryland Solicitations Act. It's called Fraternal Order of Police, Grand Lodge they use a fundraiser that's not mentioned and Maryland offers no supporting documents to help consumers under consumer protection.
You have the right under the FTC's TSR to demand placement on their internal do not call list. Part of that compliance would be that the State of Maryland allowed consumers access to information that told exactly who and where these creeps reside, including their corrupt fundraiser.
