Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that this is in fact a legit law firm. I ignored the letters and the phone calls, hoping they would stop calling, and the next thing I knew, I'm being sued for the money plus court costs!!! The debt I owed is legitimate, and I feel terrible for not paying for it, but fell on hard times and fell behind on everything. Use your own judgement...is it cheaper to ignore,or cheaper to be sued?
I keep receiving calls for a "Brian Johnson" from various places including Riexinger & Associates. I usually let the answering maching pick it up, but I have been answering other 1-800 numbers and explaining that there is no "Brian Johnson" here. I further tell them that if they reverse look up MY phone number they will see that the phone number is listed for my name. So I called back Riexinger & [***]. and politely told them to stop calling my house and hopefully, they will. They were polite to me.
It's not very smart to ignore a debt collection lawfirm. Don't make the mistake of not responding, Riexinger and Associates files thousands of lawsuits per month in GA as well as hundreads of garnishments and bank levy's monthly. The people there are actually easy to work with, but if you avoid them they will sue you, they will obtain a judgment against you, and they will garnish your wages.
Hey "Stacy" why don't you get a real job instead of trying to shake down people who don't owe anything? You can't file suit on debt that is past statute of limitations, you can't file suit on debt that was settled by bankruptcy or otherwise.
