I'm getting the same phone calls. Never leave a company named just say that my name, banking account and social security number have been linked to a fraudulent investigation and they need to hear back from me or my retained attorney.
Same call from different number - "your checking account and social security number has been linked to a fraud investigation." Blocked number, but they will just use another number. Scum bag scam - too lazy to get a real job - looking for someone to give them something out of fear. Going to hell...
They call me every day at about this same time too man. No idea what its about, but a quick Google search says the number belongs to a plumber in Atlanta, GA. I get the same exact message as the original poster, via Voice Mail.
Calls me daily and leaves messages on answering machine claiming all kinds of fraud investigation BS. Fraud is a felony so you would be served a warrant if you were suspected of fraud, so I know this is total BS trying to fish for soft minded individuals who will give them information. I wish they would arrest the people who do this [***].
