I received the same call about 15 times in about 2 weeks , they are saying fraud department and no company name and if you could have them call with your attorney name and number call them back . But every time call it just goes to busy . and they are harassing me . if I dont I will be arrested and I will serve jail time. But they dont give name of company , or anything.....
Scam call from "fraud department" saying they have a case to file and have you or your attorney call them today. Have gotten hundreds of these calls from various spoofed numbers over the last few years - just ignore - do not feed the scamming beast.
Thanks for the info, I have just got a voice message from this same number and other numbers too. I've been scammed and make bank accounts have been hacked multiple times this past year.
Told me I had taken a payday loan on march 1, 2010 and it was deposited directly into my bank account... they had my bank account info... said if I didn't pay them the money, they were filing 2 felony counts against me. I went to my bank to have them pull up the deposits made in March of 2010 only to be told I didn't open the account until September of 2011. When I called the man back he said "oh that's weird. Did someone else open this account in your name before March of 2010?" Umm... what?! Idiot. He then said "I'll have our investigator look into it and call you back".... I won't hold my breath waiting on that call. Filed report with sheriffs department.
