Scammers. The woman had a very strong Southern accent, but she spoke so quickly I couldn't get her name or the name of the company, if she even gave either of those. She ended the call with "Good luck" in a very snippy tone of voice. No idea who these people are, but whatever they're about doesn't appear on my credit report...probably a case of "ooh, we bought a big shiny list of phone numbers from some company that got desperate enough to sell them! Let's call EVERYBODY ON IT and try to scare the shite out of them with fairy tales about old debts and having them arrested!" (There was no such threat but I've seen plenty of mention of it here..and it is pretty typical behavior for these bottom-feeders.)
