He called asking if I can hear him okay. Then said he sees that I've recently applied for Social Security Disability benefits and could get me up to $2,600 a month. He didn't wait for me to respond before he started asking questions. I knew he was full of [***] because I haven't applied for any benefits. I blocked the number.
Got a call from them and when I answered the phone it was a man who said "Hi this is Doug. I recently saw that you were on one of our job sites. Can you hear me okay?" and then the call was cut off.
I did not answer the call, but I am seeing many of the comments about asking if you can hear them ok. That made me think of a scam alert I just learned of via Clark Howard. The scammers want to record your voice saying "Yes" so they can reuse it to say they have your authorization to make changes to accounts, etc. Not sure if this applies here, but could be likely/
Annoying caller who continually -sometimes as often as 10 times in a row several times a day. Does not respond to requests to delete- disregards federal do not call list.
