Got a call on my cell phone from an unknown number, asked for me by my first name. When I said, "yes?" the man hung up. Not an American accent; sounded Indian or perhaps from the Caribbean. Then got a call from this very number at my WORK number; the person hung up as soon as I answered.
Got a call from 678-365-0283. And the guy could not speak English and he said he was from insurance company knew the make and model of our car. Which I found interesting. Our computer somehow got a virus and a fake Microsoft number kept showing up. What was funny was this idiot called my husbands phone not mine.
When asked what insurance company he worked for the bad English speaking person hung up. Number will be blocked.
I didn't answer this call when I was driving home yesterday , then when I got home I called the # back MORE THEN 10 TIMES and it doesn't even ring once - it connects and disconnects immediately...I knew RIGHT THEN whatever it was that it was a scam of some sort. What legit company disconnects incoming calls?!?! Other sites and people are reporting heavy indian accent trying to access your computeR - DON'T DO IT!! DO NOT give these people any info or access to your computer if you do happen to take the call ! Don't bother trying to call back if you didn't answer either - you'll be wasting your time ~ just sayin'
I got a call from a male with an Asian dialect. He told me I had signed up for the Tennessee Lottery. I told I had not and did not wish to participate in the lottery. I asked him his name and he gave his last name as Kennedy. I then hung up.
