It is Commonwealth Financial Systems. They use many phone numbers to try and trick consumers into answering the phone. They are well known for buying "bad debt" and then pursuing collections on that debt even if: the debt is not valid and/or the debt is beyond the SOL for collections.

Report them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The more complaints that are received about Commonwealth Financial Systems the sooner they will revise their business practices and not violate the law!

I keep getting these calls and don't recognize the number so I don't answer it ! I'm old and rarely use my phone , only my close friends and family have this number . I have read the other post on this number and understand it is some type of collection agency . WOW !! I purchased the last car I will ever own 7 years ago , it is long since paid off . my wife and my house was paid off 13 years ago ! my childrens college was paid off 20 plus years ago . I owe no one . how can I stop this ?
