I received a computer-generated call from this number alleging that my credit card to an institution I did have a credit card with had been locked. I was asked to press "1" to speak to an account representative. It smelled fishy, but pressed "1" and was transferred to another computer voice. I immediately hung up, called my credit card customer service, and confirmed that my card was not disabled, frozen, or locked.
I received a phone call from (678-500-9199) regarding an on line loan. I was told the company name was: Cash Advance America located in Atlanta, Ga. I asked if the company had an 800#. I was then given (800-678-9199). I could not find a location for this company in Atlanta, GA. I was offered an unsecured loan with a 6% interest rate for 24 months. The terms were too good to believe. I would like to know if this is a legitimate company as there are several name variations for this company. If I decide to accept their loan terms.....I would need to authorize an activation fee of $100. I do not recall how this fee would need to be paid before I agreed to the loan and the terms. I vaguely recall that after I paid the $100....then I would receive the loan documents and the funds I decide to request.
Received a computer generated call as described by prior posters. Voice stated that a card I never had from a bank that no longer exists is locked. I imagine it is indeed locked since it's imaginary. :)
