got a call from a "father" said he found his son's phone and he wanted to work something out told me i would be registered on sex offender and a warrant would be issued ,wanted me to western union $754.00 to replace a phone. i blocked the number then a couple hours later got a call from a "detective" suggesting i work things out 404-966-2321 was that number i also blocked ,sons name was mark said he was 19 on skout dad told me he was 16. i exchanged no lude comments or pictures and stopped talking after "mark" told me he was 17 and dad had deep southern accent didnt call me son that i recall .
Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site. There are numerous number threads here with the same story. Make a police report to your local PD.
Same thing just happened to me. But it was not on skout, but tagged. Wanted me to western union money in his wife's name. I never sent out anything lewd either. Didn't answer the "detective number" . Didn't leave a voice mail. I blocked both numbers.
