SCAM ALERT!
If this is a collection agency, then they are the type of collection agency that gives other collection agencies a bad bad name. They have been calling multiple times daily. My husband made the mistake of answering their call. It was for a non-existent bill that would have been at least 2 years old. He is extremely ill with heart disease. He thought that it had something to do with his current health problems, and he tried to explain the situation. The operator was rude, aggressive and insisted that he pay this bill. Because of the aggressiveness of the operator, he was very upset, which really scared me (His health, not their threats). I made some phone calls...I have no idea what this phantom bill is about. As far as I am concerned, this is a scam. They are trying to make money by pretending to be a real company, and just trying to get whatever they can. Referring this to our attorney.
One call was all it took for me to know this guy is a scumbag! Rude, Yelling, Screaming, I cannot tell you how completely disrespectful this guy was. He ended up hanging up on me because after he spoke, I tried to and he kept interrupting me... I finally kept talking over and over again to make my point. The point was his information was bad. All my bills had been paid and when validating with the "creditor", they said my account is paid in full.
Called this morning around 10:30 with Caller ID of Hollis Cobb PR. I let it go to the answering machine and they left no message. After seeing that this is another scumbag bogus collection agency, I'm glad I didn't answer. Funny thing, though: this is a real company that is based in Duluth, GA. Their website is: www.holliscobb.com. They specialize in collecting medical debts. From the sounds of the people here, they are a little too aggressive. Especially considering that I, like many of the other people posting here, have no outstanding medical debts.
