Called earlier today and asked for the owner by name. Told him he was not in and asked to take a message. They asked when he would be in. I said I didn't know, they hung up. Called back 3 more time within the hour. I answered and hung up each time without saying a word. It has been an hour and they haven't called back
A guy called and said he was with GPS Corporation and that his boss met with my boss a couple of weeks back. I don't think so. BIG lie. They won't leave messages and they call almost everyday - always someone different calling.
I just got another phone call today from the same number. This time a lady said she was with Peter McKennan's office. She asked for my boss and said it was a "business call." These people will use almost any trick they have. It's pathetic.
BEWARE!!!! SCAM!!! This person calls repeatedly asking for the owner. He has some how gotten his name. When I state he is not in he will not leave a callback number. He identifies himself as John Brown calling on behalf of Jim Powers. Says he has been in contact with my boss, which is a blatant lie. The phone comes up on caller ID as SMS. One day John Brown is a Caucasian male and then the next day he is an African American male, so clearly this is a generic name they use. He tries to use bullying tactics to get through to the Owner. Whenever someone will not leave a callback number this is a big clue that they are not legitimate.
