You don't need any help. You simply need to use some common sense. Let me explain. The sheriffs office couldn't care less if someone filed a lawsuit against you. The only time they might be involved is if you live in a county where a sheriffs deputy is responsible for serving legal papers, such as a summons. A sheriff, or deputy, would NEVER call you regarding a lawsuit. If one were to do so it could end his career. A sheriff, or deputy, would NEVER be coming to pick you up because you owe a debt. Debt is a civil matter, NOT a criminal one. Law enforcement officials do NOT receive faxes pertaining to lawsuits. NOT EVER! A lawsuit is not a matter that is ever of any concern to law enforcement.
You are being called by a scammer. That's all there is to it. There are no charges to be filed because there are no charges that CAN be filed. If you owe a debt I can assure you that you do NOT owe it to the clown that is calling you. If you make the mistake of talking to the fool who's calling you again, tell him that you're on to his games. Tell him that he's a fraud & then hang up.
Report this caller to your local sheriffs office & tell them the story. File a complaint to the FTC & your states Attorney Generals office. This scammer has not only violated the FDCPA but has committed the crime of impersonating a law enforcement official. In many places that is not considered a laughing matter.
Be Safe. Be Aware.

this is a scam where the caller claims that they have a lawsuit being filed against you and need you to contact them to prevent legal action. don't fall for it, they just want money and to get more of your information. pure scam here.
I love it! For the longest time they've been telling me I'm not in compliance and I need to get an attorney. This time she was so screwed up that when she called twice and left me voicemails twice, both times she said I was IN compliance but needed to call back. With my attorney of course. Still not happening.
They have left voice mails saying good luck in court. That I took out a payday loan and they wanted money today or within 24 hours I would go to jail. Scammers dont give any personnel info.
This number calls and messages are left threatening me with a lawsuit for something that I have nothing to do with. They call several times a day from this number and others like 678-809-2822 or 2821. It is a scam!
Call them back, but *67 your number. It's a lot of fun. I have called them back 40 times in a row. Each time I get the same voice that has left VM on my number. Her name changes from time to time. You can mix it up some and download an app on your phone that you can access while in call. Several different voices to pick. My favorite is Judge Judy. Its spot on with these people.
