Bob Jackson left a message that my name and social security number were linked to a bad check and he was collecting for a financial institution. His company is JCPH Equity. He is very rude and says that this is from a cash advance from Advance America which I have never taken out. I told him that I have never bounced a check in the 10+ years I have been with my bank nor did a cash advance thru that company. He said he will mark me as uncoorperative and proceed with affidavit. He got rude and angry when I told him I researched his company and found they had been sued for fraudulant claims.

Phone calls are NOT considered official notification. Demand a written document concerning this "debt" that is mailed to you. Expect meaningless threats & excuses. Ask him for his physical address too. Chances are you will not get it.
If you really had a bad check, your bank would have informed you!!
Received a call from the number from a man who said he was Bob Jackson. He said he involved a potential civil law suit and that I need to talk to him in order to avoid being served.
Just called me and said someone has got a loan out in my name in 2008 he read off my ssn and birth date said that they been paying on it threw a bank account and I need to pay $325 to resolve this issue.so I called my credit report put a block on my credit report to let them know what was going on.
