Caller ID just gave number, no name. Left no message on my machine, might have something to do with outgoing announcement. Considering above information, I live in WV and is likely a scam. We have a high percentage of Elderly People in the state population, who will often blindly pay what they're told to. This is the FIRST time I've seen this number on my caller ID and to the best of my knowledge, any unpaid debt I MIGHT have, is LONG past the statute if limitation. SUGGESTION > I used an Avatar Demo to set my machine to answer in a British accented woman's voice, AFTER the 3 "disconnected number" tones. So, when my machine answers, you hear: The 3 "disconnected number" tones. Then, "We're sorry, the number you have reached is temporarily [ 3 second pause ], unattended. [ Pause ] Please leave a message at the tone" This set up makes most live, scam callers hang up before they hear "leave a message"
This number is a bill collection agency. When I called backed the lady spoke such broken English I couldn't understand the company she was calling on behalf.
