From Texas - keep calling, won't leave message. I never answer numbers I don't know. In the past few days I've received numerous calls from all over the U.S. and none leave a message. Just today, I've received FOURTEEN (14) calls from several different numbers.
I looked them all up, and the posts say basically the same thing about each one... usually an Indian guy trying to get money by saying you owe on some loan, or they claim to be Verizon wanting account info or money, or they claim that you entered your info for an online college, or they say they are a debt collector from Professional Account Services (that one wants you to verify SSN, DOB and mother's maiden name!), or they say they received your resume and direct you to a website (one post warned you may get a virus from going there), or they claim to be from Highlands Regional Medical Center calling about a bill from surgery that you owe. My advice is:
1. Don't answer.
2. If you do answer, don't give personal info, and don't send money.
3. ADD TO REJECT LIST on your phone.
4. Register your number on the National Do-Not-Call list at https://www.donotcall.gov.
5. If you're already registered, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
